Aguilas Guerreras (Eagle Warriors)
Description
In
the Aztec "Mexica" society, in what today is Mexico, the Mexicas had
centers of Education Called "Calmecac," where young aztec teenagers
prepared to be the future leaders (priest, governors, generals) of
their society. From the Calmecac your graduation title was either a
Jaguar Guerrera (Jaguar Warrior) or an Aguila Guerrera (Eagle Warrior).
We have borrowed the title of Aguila Guerrera from this society. The Club
Aguila Guerrera is therefore a group of students focused in continuing
their education in a four year University. They will prepare themselves
to be the future leaders of our society as teachers, politicians,
etc. The group is a supportive network of students that help each and
at the same time, try to understand and work with the realities of the
community and the world.
